5. Humans hallucinate too
Humans are highly capable language models trained to explain their own behavior.
The difficulty is that the explanation is frequently generated after the behavior occurred.
A human makes a decision because of fear, status, hunger, imitation, habit, or attraction. Then the language system produces a plausible strategic rationale.
This is known as a meeting.
Do not ask only: Why did you make this decision?
Also ask: What evidence existed before the decision? What would have changed your mind? What alternative did you reject?
Humans are excellent narrators. Narration should not be confused with introspection.
