Writing LabHow to Prompt a Human (v1)Humans hallucinate too

5. Humans hallucinate too

Humans are highly capable language models trained to explain their own behavior.

The difficulty is that the explanation is frequently generated after the behavior occurred.

A human makes a decision because of fear, status, hunger, imitation, habit, or attraction. Then the language system produces a plausible strategic rationale.

This is known as a meeting.

Do not ask only: Why did you make this decision?

Also ask: What evidence existed before the decision? What would have changed your mind? What alternative did you reject?

Humans are excellent narrators. Narration should not be confused with introspection.
